a child about the same age as his son
collapse from a stray bullet
from soldiers shooting at each other
He recognized the guns
those soldiers were holding
When he realized it was something he'd made
He grew pale
The angel fell asleep
in the middle of talking about soccer
but he pulled back his hand that was about to touch them
since it looked like the Devil's hand
He stares at both hands
as they won't stop shaking
These hands aren't here
to take someone else's life
Finally he put his interlocked fingers
on his forehead and prays
