The Beyond

Lyrics: Yuki Kajiura
Composition: Ryuki Koike & Yuki Kajiura

Farewell
Farewell
I called out to the beautiful sky
The two of us
had taken a short journey, hadn't we?
The season fragrant with the shining young leaves
seemed like it would never end, didn't it?
With our tears and pain
just as they were
we dreamt of the future

I think I'll try believing
in this world just one more time
I can walk through the wind
The sun lights my path
I reach out my hand
There's something I long for
I'm right here
I'll go together with you
towards the beyond

Tired of clinging to
hope and prayers
you were smiling
always casting a shadow on your mature cheeks

I think I'll try loving
this world just over and over again
Even if I'm hurt
Even if I'm not forgiven
The sun lights my path
Holding onto this life that's breaking
I'm right here
I'm calling out to you

Only what's important has increased
In this transient world
laugh gently
touch me
Remember the spring light

Let my singing voice sound high in the heavens
Let it pierce someone's heart
before it fades into the void
I reach out
to the farthest shore
With a calm heart
I'm right here
I'm calling out to the future
The end of the story
leads on
to a morning glow of beginnings
